It doesn’t have to be Black Friday to get an awesome deal at your library! We always have a cart of free books located in the foyer. We also have a table with books, DVDs and sometimes even puzzles for a quarter. The table is located inside the library behind the circulation desk. Kim is in every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings, making sure you have a good selection.        

Family Reading Night is Thursday, November 18th.   We have a display of the 20-21 Illinois Reads books. Come in and check some out. You can read them on Thursday for Family Reading Night.   Don’t forget to come in and get your Family Reading Packet with popcorn hot cocoa and some games about books!   We’ll have the answers to the games posted on our Facebook page, our website, www.bentonlibrary.com, and at the library.   Put yourself in a Reading State of Mind!        …

Thursday, November 18th is Family Reading Night! Come in any time between now and Thursday night to pick up a packet to help you celebrate reading with your family. Your packet includes a bag of microwave popcorn and 4 packets of hot chocolate mix to enjoy while you read with your family or play the book related games included in your packet. We will have the answers to the games posted in the library and on facebook and our website on Friday, November 19th.

It’s Friday! Why not make it a movie night? We have a selection of over 2000 movies here at the Benton Public Library. You can check out up to two movies on an adult card. They can be checked out for 7 days. Just remember, they have a $1.00 per day late fee.

The Benton Public Library has an extensive genealogy department. Genealogy Librarian, Pam Teague is here to help you, Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The genealogy room is open the same times as the library.  

Come in and check out some of our YA Reese’s Book Club choices. We have more coming in and remember, if we don’t have it here, we can order it from another library using your Benton Public Library card.

We received some new Baby-sitters Club Graphic Novels. Come in and check them out. We have a selection of juvenile and YA graphic novels. If we don’t have what you want, we can always order it from a different library at no charge with your Benton Public Library card.
