BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING

FEBRUARY 12, 2024

 

 

Sue Wells called the meeting to order at 4:59 p.m.

 

Members Present:  Theresa Bates, Debbie Clark, Pat Hollada, & Sue Wells

 

Members Absent:  Brian Crisp, Larry Journey, & Kathy Storey

 

Also Present:  Administrative Assistant Kimberly Livesay & Director Susan Stickel

 

Motion by Debbie Clark, seconded by Theresa Bates to approve the January minutes passed.  All were in favor.

 

Motion by Debbie Clark, seconded by Theresa Bates to approve the payment of bills passed.  All were in favor.

 

Motion by Debbie Clark, seconded by Pat Hollada to approve the financial reports passed.  All were in favor.

 

Librarian’s Report:

 

Maintenance:

F. W. Plumbing was contacted to replace the hot water heater in the public restroom and kitchen and replace the faucet in the kitchen and café. They have also cleaned out the drain on the east side parking lot. Earlier in the month routine maintenance was performed on the heating and cooling system.

 

Erwin Builders, Inc. was contacted to inspect a portion of the library building’s roof.

 

We have the one estimate for lightning rods and should receive the second estimate the first week of March.

 

Programming:

 

Susan Saxe has stepped away from leading the Book Club.  The members are leading at this time.

 

Programming is going well and plans are to meet with the BAV to plan the community Easter Egg Hunt.

 

Community Outreach:

 

On behalf of the staff, Susan thanked the Board of Trustees for the opportunity to attend the Chamber Dinner.  Susan reported that this was very much appreciated and that everyone enjoyed themselves.

New Business:

 

Statements of Economic Interest were presented to the Board and Susan will file these with the County Clerk’s Office.

 

There being no other business or public comment, Theresa Bates motioned, Pat Hollada seconded to adjourn the meeting at 5:36 p.m.
