Board of Trustees Meeting
Minutes
February 10, 2020

President Sue Wells called the meeting to order at 5:25 pm.
Members Present: Debbie Clark, (by teleconference), Doris Heaton, Chris Jerrells, Kathy Storey, and Sue Wells.
Members Absent: Stephanie Hart
Also Present: Director Susan Stickel
Motion by Doris Heaton, seconded by Kathy Storey to approve the minutes of the January board meeting passed. All were in favor.
Motion by Kathy Storey, seconded by Debbie Clark to approve the payment of bills passed. All were in favor.
Motion by Doris Heaton, seconded by Debbie Clark to approve the financial reports passed. All were in favor.
Librarian’s Report:
Susan presented the engagement letter from Watler Accounting to perform the next year’s audit. A motion by Doris Heaton , seconded by Kathy Storey to accept the services of Watler passed. All were in favor.
Maintenance:
Susan reported that F. W. Electrical was contacted and a new motor was installed on the furnace unit located in the janitorial room.
Programming:
The February calendar of events was distributed to board members. Susan briefly discussed the upcoming Easter event planned for April. She reported that Pam is working on the third National Genealogy Day event to be held at the library on March 14th.
Artwork from the students at the Benton Grade School is currently on display at the library. Jennifer Fitzpatrick submitted a nice article to the newspaper and it will be shared on the library’s website.
Memorials and Donations:
Susan reported totals of donations to the library including the yard sale table.
Old Business:
The picnic tables and trash receptacles have been assembled and placed in the pavilion. Many thanks to Henry for taking care of this as we are planning an open house in the spring.
New Business:
Statements of Economic Interest were distributed to all present. Susan will return them to the County Clerk’s office the last week of the month.
There being no other business, Chris Jerrells motioned and Pat Hollada seconded to adjourn the meeting at 5:39 pm.
