Approval of December Board Meeting Minutes

Librarian’s Report:
Susan passed out thank you cards from some of the employees and Debbie read them to the board.
MAINTENANCE:
The Mid America company from Marshall, Illinois gave a quote to the library of $4,500.00 to install the lightning rods on the main library building and on the pavilion.
Plantscape has been here and put the garden beds to rest for the winter season. The Christmas decorations have been put away.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH:
Theresa, Kelsey, and Susan helped with Aaron Lucas to wrap presents for kids at Christmas time. He and his family work with the ministerial alliance every year with this project.
PROGRAMMING:
The Book Club returns this month after a seasonal break.
Christmas with Santa was well attended.
All other programming is going well.

EXECUTIVE SESSION
None
Personnel:
Diane Kolodjiez has come back to work. She will be working a few hours each Friday.
Playground Equipment purchase: We are not buying the model currently on display at K and K Storage. They will be assembling it from scratch with our specifications. Once it is built, they will bolt it to the ground. They should be here sometime in February to complete this project. The total cost for this is $3,948 before the donations were made.

This ordinance states where the Benton Public Library is currently banking and where deposits can be made.
Governmental Mileage Reimbursement
The current mileage amount is $.67
