We have recently started subscriptions to some new magazines for kids. We have Discovery Girls, Highlights High Five, ChickaDee and Highlights. Come in and check some of these out for your child.
Friday, April 17th, 2015 6:00pm-9:00pm Students in 5th grade through High School are invited to have dinner and a movie with us.If we have a good response this will become a regular monthly night.
Thursday, April 16th, 2015 9:00am-8:00pm Bring in a book and trade it for another on our special table.Bring as many books as you wantbut be sure to take the same number with you when you go! Return any overdue book, movie or magazine and bring a food itemfor the Benton Ministerial Food Pantry and your fines will be forgiven.Anyone with outstanding fines from the past may bring in a food itemfor the Benton Ministerial Food Pantry and we will cancel their fines.
Wednesday, April 15th, 2015 9:00am-3:00pm While the kiddies are in school,parents are welcome to come in and see the services we have to offer their family.The importance of reading and spending time with your children will be emphasized.
Tuesday, April 14th, 2015 4:00pm-7:00pm Everyone will make three crafts.You may come at any time between 4:00 and 7:00 and make your items and take them home.Crafts will be appropriate for school age through adult.
Monday, April 13th, 2015 11:00am-1:00pm A luncheon and movie will be held to honor the residents of Hope’s Cornerwho are frequent patrons of the Library.Our home-bound patrons will receive a special visit and be given new tote bags for their books.Displays will be throughout the library emphasizing the programs availableto our special needs patrons.
The April meeting of the Benton Public Library Board of Directors has been changed from Wednesday, April 8th to Monday, April 13th.
Sunday, April 12th, 2015 2:00-4:00pm Come meet the Library Staff and our newly appointed Library Director, Susan Stickel.A brief program will be held at 2:30 followed by light refreshments.Tours of the library will be held.
April 12-18 We will have special activities each day.
