Librarian’s Report:

  • Susan thanked Brian and Pat for covering the character chairs in the Reading Garden
  • Susan mentioned that John (who is helping Henry with the ship) got rid of the mums and other decorations. He put away the games in the Reading Garden for the winter.
  • We have been in touch with Sharon about the sign for the garden to recognize her mother. Jake from Baysinger has sent three different base designs.
  • Susan has called Union Pacific. They asked us what we are going to be using the property for. Susan told her parking. They are working on it and will keep us informed.
  • Susan gave us a program report from the Halloween Trick or Treating day. 25 kids and 13 adults showed up. We also issued one new library card that day.
  • The door has been fixed. The baby changing station has been set up in the men’s restroom.
  • Vaccine update: Two employees are still getting tested. Susan is documenting their negative results. One of the girls probably won’t be back because of the cost of this. Kim now has a letter in her file from her doctor about her situation and plans on getting vaccinated as soon as she can.
  • Plantscape Nursery contacted us about the Pat Hill memorial tree.
  • The tree in the Reading Garden is still standing due to the brakes on the rig going out. They are going to get it serviced and will get back to us.
  • We have decided not to go with the program that offered the chromebooks and laptops.
  • Sara received a policy manual from Susan.

Old Business:

Personnel:

  • Kim’s position: We have decided to pay her as a salaried employee. She will get paid on the 15th and the 30th like Susan and Pam.
  • We all accepted her description and salary pay.
