    Librarian’s Report:

    • We are going to need to fix a hole in the roof of the building next door. A piece of the fiberglass roof has come off. We discussed having it repaired in the cheapest way possible. Susan will be checking with someone about this.
    • The junk from the building next door is gone. Some of it will be sold and we will get a percentage. The building is technically empty.
    • Fence repairs are not done yet. We have a signed agreement, but are still waiting on things to get fixed (missing pieces, bent rails, etc)
    • The new island in the parking lot by the Reading Garden: Susan checked with Plantscape Nursery and it was around $1,200. We think this is too much. Henry will seed it and we will go from there.
    • We are having a Halloween event in the Reading Garden towards the end of the month.
    • Henry has built a sandbox underneath the ship. Susan mentioned filling it with sand, but we did not think it was a good idea (cats). Maybe fill it in the pea gravel or mulch?
    • Henry has removed the rotten stumps from around the log walk area
    • We got mulch from Burkdell Mulch for the Reading Garden and around the pirate ship area.
    • We will be cleaning the character chairs and placing tarps on them with the help of the Boy Scouts on Tuesday October 18th
    • The asphalt project for the parking lot will be starting this week

1st by Stephanie Hart                                2nd by Pat Hollada

    Old Business:

    Personnel:

    • Carole Sue will be off work due to her shoulder injury
    • Susan might need to hire someone new to fill in for hours

    New Business

    • The bond payment was paid
    • The hole in the roof next door will get fixed
    • Susan has checked about the Live and Learn construction grant. We are waiting to hear back to see if this is something that we might be eligible for
    • We are going to check in to see what the cost to demolish the building next door will be. We feel it is the best first step in the future possibilities of this area. Stephanie said she would contact Pete Klus about this.
