Librarian’s Report:

  • Susan stated that we passed our fire alarm and safety inspection
  • The audit? What are ours plans going forward? We could do the full audit each year ($6,000) or maybe just have them do the basic annual financial report yearly for a cheaper cost. Susan is going to check with them about that price and get back with us.
  • Masks are now recommended and we have a sign on the door. The idea of stopping testing for non-vaccinated employees was brought up. We voted for not testing.
  • Pat provided Susan with information about a future archery tournament that would be held at Rend Lake. Susan  typed up an informational sheet about our library to possibly attract people from the event.
  • Susan passed out a link to the board members about sexual harassment training.
  • We will be going back to both in-person and virtual programming for the library.
  • The book club will be returning to the third Thursday of every month.
  • Brian is going to contact Channel 3 News about the pirate ship when it is complete.
  • The Rend Lake Water Festival is coming up soon and the library will be having a float in the parade.
