Board of Trustees Meeting
Minutes
January 13, 2020
President Sue Wells called the meeting to order at 5:27.
Members Present: Debbie Clark, Stephanie Hart, Doris Heaton, Pat Hollada, Chris Jerrells, Kathy Storey, and Sue Wells
Members Absent: None
Also Present: Director Susan Stickel
Motion by Doris Heaton, seconded by Stephanie Hart to approve the minutes of the December board meeting passed. All were in favor.
Motion by Stephanie Hart, seconded by Kathy Storey to approve the payment of bill passed. All were in favor.
Motion by Doris Heaton, seconded by Debbie Clark to approve the financial reports passed. All were in favor.
Librarian’s Report:
Maintenance:
Susan contacted Me Garrett to obtain an estimate on the necessary repairs on the sheds.
Programs:
The January calendar of events was distributed to all board members.
The Christmas with Santa event was well attended.
Susan reported the Per Capita Grant has been received. Motion by Pat Hollada, seconded by Stephanie Hart to proceed with the handicap accessible exits passed unanimously by roll call vote.
Susan distributed an informational quote from Chargepoint regarding electric vehicle charging solutions.
Memorials and Donations:
Susan reported memorials and donations for the month.
Old Business:
The Reading Garden was moved to the end of the board meeting.
New Business:
Motion by Doris Heaton, seconded by Stephanie Hart to approve Banking Ordinance #101-20 passed. All were in favor.
Motion by Doris Heaton, seconded by Debbie Clark to abide by the Jan 1, 2020 governmental mileage reimbursement rate passed. All were in favor.
Reading Garden:
Board President Sue Wells appointed Director Susan Stickel to finalize plans for the opening of the Reading Garden. A tentative date was discussed. Board member Debbie Clark offered to present a power point presentation during the open house.
Susan will be ordering the picnic tables for the pavilion. It was decided to purchase green hex type tables with at least one ADA table. Also, she will be ordering matching trash receptacles. She will check prices on items and delivery charges before placing orders.
Motion by Stephanie Hart, seconded by Debbie Clark to adjourn the meeting at 6:33 passed.
