Librarian’s report:

Susan reported the patio is finished and that fill dirt was delivered and spread. The area has been seeded and new grass is rapidly growing. More decorator rock and landscaping boards will be needed to level the ground area. This will be done right away. The entire landscaped rock area around the building needs attention as well. Susan will make arrangements for this.

Gehman’s has been contacted to replace some of the boards on the picnic tables.

Information on the Open Meetings Act was distributed so all could complete the online training.

Three more children have completed the 1,000 book challenge and were awarded their bookshelves. Newspapers were contacted and the information was also posted on the library’s facebook.

Betty Moore has donated a beautiful watercolor that now completes the art wall. An acknowledgement card has been sent and an article was in the newspaper.

The memorial envelopes and brick order forms will be updated. The wording on the designation brick donation forms will reflect support programs for the library. Everything will remain the same on the memorial envelopes except the logo. We will use the centennial logo on both the envelopes and the brick order forms.

The library was beneficiary of the estate of Dorris Hart. The executor for Miss Hart delivered the two checks to the library September 6, 2017. The money has been designated for the children’s area.
