4:00 PM
The meeting was called to order at 4:00 pm by President Sue Wells to discuss roofing bids. Those in attendance were as follows: Stephanie Hart, Doris Heaton, Sammy Kraft, Jake Seymour (by teleconference), Kathy Storey, and Sue Wells. Also present: Kim Livesay, Susan Stickel, and Wilbur VanHorn.
The board asked Wilbur Van horn to share his expertise with everyone as he has years of experience in the roofing industry. He recommended the Heritage shingle instead of the Heritage Premium. This will be cost saving to the library without compromising quality. He also talked about a synthetic roof underlayment that could provide extra protection during the replacement if inclement weather were to occur.

After discussion and review of roofing bids, the board determined McClerren Roofing from West Frankfort, IL to be the lowest responsible bid. Jake Seymour made the motion, Doris Heaton seconded to accept the bid from McClerren Rooofing to apply the Heritage shingle on the facility. All were in favor, motion carried.
The board instructed Susan to retain a copy of the bond and workman’s compensation form and to request that work begin in May or June if possible.
Doris Heaton made the motion, Sammy Kraft seconded to have Susan talk to the roofing company about synthetic roof underlayment. Motion carried unanimously.
The Board of Trustees and Director thanked Wilbur Van Horn for sharing his knowledge and experience with everyone.
