BENTON PUBLIC LIBRARY
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
APRIL 13, 2015
The meeting was called to order at 6:03 pm by President Heaton.
Members present: Doris Heaton, Pam Appleton, Sammy Kraft and Sue Wells
Members absent: Stephanie Hart, Linda Kraft and Jake Seymour
Also present: Susan Stickel, Library Director
Motion by Sue Wells seconded by Sammy Kraft to approve the check register and financial statements passed.
Director’s Report: Susan reported that all is going well. She asked if there is a policy regarding volunteers, especially children. There is none at this time but this is something to look into in the future.
Program Director’s Report: Individual sheets for each of her programs in the last month were Sus
Old Business: National Library Week is underway.
The Centennial Celebration is being worked on. The anniversary is May 1, 2016 and Rend Lake Days will be on May 6, 2016. The proposal was raised that we ask the Chamber of Commerce if we might be the highlight of that parade.

Personnel – Susan will use a different form for the employee evaluations which are due before the June meeting. Motion by Sammy Kraft, seconded by Sue Wells to pay the salary of those employees who attended the Sunday reception for National Library Week passed.
Motion by Pam Appleton, seconded by Sue Wells to retain the audit firm of McKorkle passed.
Being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
