Supporting Your Library

How to Help Your Library

Volunteer

The library depends on volunteers to help with delivery of books to our homebound patrons and to help with fundraising events.

Promote

Speak up for libraries at community groups or gatherings.  Write your state and federal legislators and demand that library service be viewed (and funded) as a necessary public service.  Invite the Library Director to speak to your service organization or other group about Library services.

Contribute

Honor a birthday or special event with a donation for the library to buy a book.
Remember the library in your estate planning.
Memorialize a loved one through a donation.
Make a donation of cash, stocks, or other gift.

Memorial bricks help pave the way to a bright future for the library by contributing to the Library’s Building Fund.

A donation to the Library is enduring in nature and will actively serve the needs of today and tomorrow by providing the community with an up-to-date, modern library and community gathering place.  All donations are tax-deductible.

For more information on donating to the library please call 618-438-7511, or email susanstickel.bpl@gmail.com.

Donor forms can be mailed to: Benton Public Library, 502 S. Main St., Benton, IL 62812, or faxed to 618-439-6139.
